Mantra – Iceland
I had the incredible opportunity to work with Mantra, a golfing performance and lifestyle brand, on their latest collection inspired by the captivating Icelandic colour palette. The goal was to capture the essence of Iceland’s landscape and showcase the quality and versatility of their new polo shirts in a range of different scenarios. Over the course of three exhilarating days, we embarked on an unforgettable journey across Iceland, blending fashion and nature with a classic road trip.
Our adventure began on a picturesque Icelandic golf course, where we aimed to infuse the images with elements of the breathtaking landscape while highlighting the diverse range of the polo shirts. Shooting during the enchanting midnight sun of the Icelandic summer, we were blessed with incredible weather. As the golden rays bathed the greens and fairways, we worked our way around the picturesque golf course..
We then embarked on a two-day road trip, immersing ourselves in the captivating Icelandic wilderness. Our first destination was Landmannalaugar and Haifoss, where the hues of the polo shirts mirrored the kaleidoscope of colors found in the rugged terrain. Against the backdrop of vibrantly coloured hills, black sand deserts, moss covered rocks and majestic waterfalls, the garments came alive, echoing the soul of Iceland itself.
Continuing along the south coast, we travelled through the martian landscapes of black sand beaches and the vivid fields of purple lupines, and the icy atmosphere of the glacier lagoon. It was an exhilarating adventure to find the perfect match between the garments and their natural counterparts, from the icy blues and whites of glacial formations to the minimal tones of volcanic rocks and the vibrant colours of the flora.
The project with Mantra allowed me to weave together my love for photography, fashion, and the untamed landscapes of Iceland. It was a privilege to capture the spirit of their latest collection and to witness the powerful synergy between the natural world and the artistry of design.
